DonChow Taco Truck

DonChow Taco Truck: Chinese and Mexican Fusion

For my next food adventure, I was lucky enough to have a DonChow Chinese-Mexican taco truck roll up right to my doorstep. I hopped in line and ordered  a Kung Pao Chicken Burrito Bowl. I felt that it was a good choice in an attempt to really taste and experience the mix of a Chinese dish served in a Mexican style plate. The Kung Pao Chicken Burrito Bowl was a mix that you definitely have to have certain taste to appreciate. The Kung Pao chicken was tasty and spicy. Im usually accustomed to eating Kung Pao Chicken served with white rice and sweet and spicy sauces. However, the Dong Chow truck served it with everything I would expect to find in a burrito. Spanish rice, lettuce, tomatoes, beans, cheese, and salsa along with a few tortilla chips on the side. You definitely have to enjoy spicy foods as this combined the spices of Kung Pao Chicken with the spices of Mexican salsa. Mixing dairy products such as cheese with a Chinese dish is very uncommon, but was a very good thing to see in the burrito bowl. If I had to explain this dish in one word, I would say "spicy." I really enjoyed the mix of Chinese and Mexican Food, and recommend the DonChow truck to anybody to try!

  1. Can that truck be followed via twitter? It sounds very good, somewhat salty but good. In terms of fusion food especially from the trucks it's not the healthiest food, but the food and recipes are very good. The food truck idea is very creative and some trucks like Don Chow have become very successful with their enterprise.
